Canon PIXMA G3000 Drivers Download

Canon PIXMA G3000 Drivers Download– The Canon Pixma G3000 is top among the G series from the brand. It boasts a full-featured print-scan-copy, Wi-Fi connectivity, and low-cost ink refill system. If you’re looking for a printer for your home and small business, read the reviews to see if it fits your needs.

Design

The all-in-one printer has a boxy design and is made entirely of matte polycarbonate. Aesthetically, there should be no issues with pairing it with other hardware. It really blends in when placed next to other office supplies.

If we look around the printer, you will notice the physical control buttons are conveniently placed on the top right side. The paper tray is located at the common end while the flatbed scanner is accessible when you flip the top cover. The front shows the paper output tray and the actual ink level which is easy to check.

Not much going on either side of the printer but just a small gap to select the whole device. The connector for power is located on the back left side while the USB port for wired data connection is on the opposite end.

To access the interior, the main top of the printer needs to be lifted and the arm will lock it in place. This will allow printer head adjustment and filling the ink tank. The black ink tank is placed on the left while the CMY tones are on the right. Black has more volume than colored ink.

Canon PIXMA G3000 Feature

The Pixma G3000 is an all-in-one printer, so it can print, scan, and copy documents. Moreover, it has wireless capabilities via its built-in Wi-Fi. This allows it to receive commands from any connected device, perhaps from your computer, tablet or smartphone. The setup can be a hassle at first and it’s not strictly plug-and-play but the convenience of having a wireless printer at home goes a long way, especially when it comes to direct smartphone printing.

Print

The G3000 it’s a printer, it can print, as well as in color. Canon uses 4 inks to produce the prints you need — black, cyan, magenta and yellow. It is an ink refill system so there is no need to buy new cartridges every time you run out of ink.

Scan

There is a flatbed scanner built into the body of the printer which can accommodate up to A4 size. The scanning speed of a full A4 photo is around 9 seconds which is pretty average. For output, our test scan results were too noisy for our liking. Not the best scanner to have but gets the job done. Canon also has a nifty stitch feature that lets you scan larger documents and combine them on one page.

Copy

The copy feature is probably the easiest thing you can do with a printer. Just place the document you want to copy on the scanner and press the Black or Color button. This will now start the direct scan and print command. We’ve noticed that the quality of scans printed on paper is cleaner than scans from a computer. This may be the result of skipping upgrades made to the document. There is no intent to enlarge or adjust a document copied to printed paper, so if you scan a 3R photo, the copy will print as is.

Print Quality and Speed

Going to the actual printing performance, we did some tests to be able to give exact figures using legal size paper. Starting with plain black text printing from a Word file, it can print a full page in about 5 seconds. Switching to color printing from the same file would double it to almost 11 seconds. Printing a PDF file containing color images and text will take about 20 seconds per page while a full image will take up to 23 seconds longer.

All printing is done using the default settings directly from the Word and Adobe Reader applications.

Conclusion

For home printers, there isn’t much to choose from. For most, myself included, print time is just a number and will still be based on the content you print and likewise, it’s not a full-fledged homework marathon. The Canon Pixma G3000 is a capable printer with quality and a full set of features suitable for everyday printing with long term ink solutions but for Php 9,995, it can be expensive for some. It comes with three bottles of black to start your blueprinting while a refill for each pigment will only cost you Php 295 per bottle.
