You can increase the resolution to 9600dpi using software interpolation, but the scans don’t look any better than the top optical resolutions.
Software bundles are extensive, but not all of them are good news. We are disappointed with the lack of flexibility that the ScanGear utility offers. There are no preset options for scanning line drawings or magazine images, and when we tried to scan an image from a magazine, we noted a slight separation of green and red at resolutions above 300dpi.
The plug socket will be unburdened as the N67OU draws power from the PC via the USB cable. The Z-cap design means the cover can be lifted higher; Slim dimensions, coupled with the stand, mean you can place the scanner sideways, which is great if you don’t have a lot of desktop space.
